Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted in the fall of 2005 at Iowa State University's football practice facility to "determine the optimal seeding rates for turfgrass species under various simulated traffic levels." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "the experimental design was a randomized complete block with a strip plot arrangement and 3 replications." Explains that "percent turfgrass cover was recorded each week immediately before applying traffic treatments." Reports that "it appears that extremely high seeding rates are beneficial under certain levels of traffic."
