| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses a study conducted at the Iowa State University's Horticulture Research Station to "evaluate the effectiveness of experimental wetting agents against standard wetting agents for reducing soil water repellency and improving turfgrass quality and health." Details the materials and methods used in the study, stating that "experimental and standard wetting agents were applied to a mature stand of 'Penncross' creeping bentgrass growing on a USGA [United States Golf Association] sandbased putting green...The experimental design was a randomized complete block with 5 treatments and 5 replications." Explains that the factors evaluated included turf quality, turf color, phytotoxicity, dew formation, and drought stress.
