Abstract/Contents:Briefly discusses armyworm infestations in summer 2006. States that "a report from Ohio indicates that armyworms have been active in the northwestern part of the state, attacking wheat and corn fields as well as some fine turf areas." Briefly profiles armyworms stating that "the head looks 'honeycombed', with a light and dark shade of brown and...the point where the fleshy legs meet the body on the abdomen is very dark." Concludes that "early detection is key. Once the caterpillars are more than a half inch long, it is very difficult to manage them."
