Abstract/Contents: | Describes damages to golf courses in Queensland, Australia after Cyclones Larry and Monica. States that "the Innisfail Golf Club suffered severe damage with hundreds of its magnificent trees felled and broken." Mentions that "rainfall from Cyclone Larry was not huge due to its extrememly fast movement across land. Most areas in its path received less than 200 millimetres [millimeters] in only a few hours. But it rained constantly for the following five weeks, making clean-up miserable and repairs to affected homes and sheds all but impossible." |
