Abstract/Contents:Responds to a question regarding how to strengthen the root system of kikuyu. States that "seaweed extract contains high levels of Kinetin, a plant growth hormone that stimulates root growth on healthy grass." Also suggests that "low rates of 2-4D will do a similar job...Another option is to use Primo which, by dwarfing leaf and stem growth, sends more carbohydrates to the roots and increases root strength and dry matter." Concludes that one "[has] to accept that kikuyu in a wrong climate situation will suffer."
