Abstract/Contents:Describes wet and scalped 80 year old Poa/bent greens. Explains that after using Primo, staff was unable to properly mow for several days. Suggests that puffy greens could be caused by wetting agents, "high [temperature]/high humidity/high moisture combo", and excess thatch. States that "the problem goes away as soon as the humidity drops...but the underlying cause is most likely the build up of organic matter." Suggests that "a more aggresive cultural program, including frequent topdressing coupled with good aeration and verticutting, may be the answer for the long term."
