Abstract/Contents: | Discusses an increase in turfgrass diseases, stating that "some of these biological anomalies are related to odd climatic conditions. But others can be attributed to reaching the biological limits in [the] quest for perfect turf." Explains that "keeping turf alive and managing it to golfers' expectations are not the same thing" because golfers have expectations for golf courses. Concludes that the turfgrass industry needs "the industry's best minds to work on understanding the biology and ecology of fungal diseases, not just what...can [be] sprayed on them." |
