Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the improvisation of tools and maintenance techniques on sports turf. Describes a transformation of three soccer fields into three baseball fields for the Diamond Diplomacy Tour in Talnin, Estonia. Also discusses methods used by baseball grounds crews in Japan and Taiwan. States that at the Nagoya stadium in Nagoya, Japan, "the crew has developed a tool for painting the lines on the synthetic turf suface.
