| Answer/Response: | "The Institute has many years experience of acting as consultant in sports ground construction, with particular reference to drainage problems. It recognises, however, that most of those contemplating a major scheme will wish to consider and discuss the implications in some detail before committing themselves to going ahead, and for this reason it is prepared to carry out feasibility studies on an ad-hoc basis, and without any future commitment beyond meeting the immediate cost. A feasibility study is a preliminary technical appraisal of a project, sufficient to enable the client to decide whether and in what form to proceed. It includes an estimate of cost, an outline time-table, a statement on the need for consultants and a suggested contract procedure." |
