Abstract/Contents:Discusses plans to build a 43,000-acre golf community near Las Vegas, Nevada and the water restrictions for the area. States that "the project's developer...has secured ground water rights and isn't subject to the same water restrictions that affect most of southern Nevada, which is in a drought alert stage." Describes the community, stating that "construction is scheduled to begin in early 2005 on the first phase of the project which calls for six golf courses, including two Jack Nicklaus designs and one possibly by Pete Dye." Concludes that "although it appears that CSI [Coyote Springs Incorporated] has more than ample water, the company also plans to irrigate with effluent."
