Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the involvement of former Scotts-Miracle Gro Company employee Virgil Meier in the environmental impact statement (EIS) for Scotts Roundup Ready creeping bentgrass (RRCB). Explains that the Inernational Center for Technology Assesment "called Meier's role in the EIS a conflict of interest and asked that he recuse himself from 'any involvement in the decision-making of this product.'" Concludes that "after comments are collected on the draft EIS...a final EIS would be released, followed by a record of decision, concluding the regulatory process." |
