Abstract/Contents: | Cites an effort "to clear aquatic weeds from ponds at a Florida golf course" as a possible cause of the death of dozens of waterfowl. States that "tests on two dead ducks discovered at Treasure Bay Golf, Tennis and Recreation Center showed that the birds died of avian botulism." Explains that "officials believe the bacteria began to form last year when the city of Treasure Island had cattails removed from the ponds on the nine-hole course.
