Abstract/Contents:Briefly presents a study conducted examining tall fescue grasses, including Labarinth, Barington, and F1B. States that "turf breeders have been collecting and studying unusual types of tall fescues. They noticed that some of these did produce rhizome-like structures." Reports that "it is possible for rhizomatous tall fescue to form a sod that can be harvested without the aid of netting" and that "rhizomatous tall fescue mixes well with a low (10%) amount of Kentucky bluegrass to produce a very wear-tolerant turf."
