Abstract/Contents: | Presents the results of the 2005 Golf Course...(GCSAA) Compensation and Benefits Report. States that "overall, [superintendents] rated their job satisfaction as 4.1, with superintendents who earn more than $125,000 annually reporting the highest level of satisfaction at 4.6." Reports that, in 2005, "superintendents' salaries averaged $68,914, an increase of more than 4.6 percent over [2003 and 2004]. In 2003, the average annual salary was reported at $63,065. That figure reflected an annual increase of 3.6 percent over the previous report in 2000." States that "among the largest increases from the [2003] survey was among superintendents at public facilities. The median salary for superintendents at daily fee, public, and semiprivate facilities rose $7,000 to $54,000, an increase of 14 percent." Reports average hours worked per week and medical and retirement benefits. Briefly mentions percentage of superintendents who are certified, average age of superintendents, superintendents interested in becoming general managers, and average base salary rates. |
