Abstract/Contents:Presents a trial "established to demonstrate which herbicide active ingredients have enough safety to be used on creeping bentgrass." States that "bentgrass at fairway height may be uninjured from herbicides that may severely injury [injure] bentgrass at putting green height." Lists herbicides used in the trial, including Lontrel and Quicksilver. Concludes that "Quicksilver provides excellent control of silvery thread moss...[but] does not control dandelion or white clover...Lontrel should be given strong consideration...for controlling broadleaf weeds."
