Abstract/Contents:Briefly discusses biosolids, "primarily organic, solid materials produced by waste water treatment processes that have value as nutrient sources or soil amendments." Presents a study conducted to "generate information that can be used to evaluate and demonstrate the benefits of biosolids in turfgrass management and eventually promote the use of MWRDGC [Metropolitan Water Reclaimation District of Greater Chicago, Illinois] biosolids to the turfgrass industry." States that "turf tissue will be tested to determine mineral composition prior to beginning the study and then annually each fall in 2006, 2007, and 2008. Turf quality will be evaluated monthly April-October, 2007-08, and turf density and thatch will be measured in October [2006], [2007], and [2008]."
