Abstract/Contents:Presents a study conducted to "evaluate preventive fungicide applications for the control of dollar spot and brown patch at two sites; a new fairway and an older fairway with a history of fungicide resistance." States that "dollar spot caused by the fungus Sclerotinia homoeocarpa is responsible for more fungicide use than any other disease on a golf course." Describes the materials and methods used in the study. Reports that "a majority of fungicides provided control given curative or preventive application strategies." Discusses early dollar spot and benzimidazole resistance.
