Abstract/Contents: | Presents research examining dead spot on Bermudagrass turf, stating that "certain DMI (demethylation) fungicides, when applied in late summer or early fall, can help lessen the effects of spring dead spot, but are not effective at preventing the disease." Reports that the research "showed that turf treated preventively with DMI fungicides showed the potential to heal faster than untreated turf." Explains that "the timing of the DMI application is critical in the fight against spring dead spot." Suggests to "avoid late-season nitrogen fertilization" and "practice regular aeration." |
