Abstract/Contents:Suggests that "management practices such as fertilization, irrigation, mowing, overseeding, and pesticide applications collectively can contribute to cold weather injury and loss of turfgrass." Describes the conditions and symptoms of several types of cold weather turfgrass injury, including chill injury, dessication injury, frost injury, ice injury, crown hydration injury, and traffic injury. Concludes that "proper diagnosis of cold weather injury to warm-season turfgrasses can alleviate the extent of the damages."
