Abstract/Contents: | Discusses damage to several New Orleans, Louisiana, golf courses caused by Hurricane Katrina in 2005. States that "at least a half-dozen courses - most of them public - remain closed in the New Orleans area...On Mississippi's Golf Coast, there are another half-dozen that are closed or have recently reopened. In all, about one-third of the courses from New Orleans to Biloxi [Mississippi] remain closed." Explains that "part of the problem is finding the funds and labor to rebuild. Both are in short supply." |
