Abstract/Contents: | Describes the effect that temperature and geographical location has on overseeding and transition practices, by using a 'turf growth potential' model. Also describes light as a factor affecting growth. States that "as overseeding programs progress, the ability of summer grasses to be reintroduced declines." Concludes that "in coastal areas, superintendents must accept that they have to apply the chemicals by July 1 and plan for a reduction in turf quality." |
