Abstract/Contents: | Discusses the late emergence of crabgrass during the summer of 2006. Also discusses the "great turnout for the Research Golf Tournament at Independence Golf Club in Richmond [Virginia] on June 5 [2006]." States that "the educational program for the Conference is shaping up to be another quality program with major input from [readers and the] Virginia Tech Technical Advisory Staff." Describes the Golf Survey, which is "being conducted by the World Golf Foundation and the Golf 2020 organization to survey the economic impact of golf on the state [of Virginia] as a whole." States that "the Virginia Turfgrass Council feels this survey will shed new light on the value of [the golf] industry as a whole and give [people] another tool to take to Richmond and use locally with [the] elected officials." |
