Abstract/Contents:Describes a research project designed "to determine if a mixture of bentgrass cultivars would compete better than a single cultivar against annual bluegrass (Poa annua) invasion." States that "greenhouse experiments indicated a significant competitive advantage for multiple cultivar plantings of bentgrass against annual bluegrass encroachment compared to single cultivar plantings. Both shoot and root growth of annual bluegrass plants were reduced in the presence of multiple cultivars of bentgrass."
