Abstract/Contents:Suggests that "folks who have tried interseeding [creeping bentgrass] into existing annual bluegrass putting greens while the turf is in play have generally been frustrated with the results." Reports that "university researchers have split over whether interseeding works or not." States that "research is showing that early summer - June and July - is actually the best time to interseed." Suggests that "a poa-competitive cultivar combined with the right seeding time of the year are the two main keys to interseeding success." Reports that "research indicates that doubling the seeding rate doubles the catch of bentgrass."
