| Abstract/Contents: | Describes Gareth Phillips' experience as a part of the greenkeeping team at Hoylake for the 2006 Open Championship. Discusses changes that were made to the course for the championship, including the routing of the course and revetting the bunkers. States that "the nutritional regime during the lead-in period to the championship included five applications of iron at half rate every 4-5 weeks throughout the winter months."
