Abstract/Contents:Discusses perceptions of the golf industry, stating that "the varied and occasionally contradictory data collection sources and methods, the overriding truism that all golf is local, extreme weather patterns and seesawing economic forecasts all make it extremely difficult to figure out exactly how golf is doing as an industry." States that "findings generally indicate that weather has much less impact on year-to-year rounds comparisons than operators believe." Concludes that "at industry gatherings...there has been a definite upturn in industry moral, for the most part."
