Abstract/Contents: | Addresses how to "help lawns recover from dog urine burns," stating that "turf damage from dog urine is more likely to show in the spring because the grass is succulent making it more susceptible to salt burn." Presents an experiment "to test 'Dogonit' that claims to help turf recover from dog urine and road salt burns." Concludes that "the daily watering seemed to be the factor effecting [affecting] recovery, not the Dogonit. Better advice would be to add a suitable turfgrass seed, lightly cover with soil and continue with the daily watering. The water will help dilute the salt in the soil, and the seed will speed turf fill-in." |
