| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses potential solutions to tip burn "after changing from turfjet-type nozzles to air induction nozzles to achieve better coverage." States that "this tip burn occurs on any playing surface...but is worse on fairways." Reports that "the air induction nozzles do a great job of providing better coverage, but that usually means it's also reducing droplet size." Suggests the use of "paper indicator strips, one water sensitive and the other oil sensitive, that can be attached to the sprayer in locations around the boom. If any drift is present, it will turn the white paper black where the oil, or yellow paper a blue color where the ewater contacts it." |
