Abstract/Contents:Discusses the Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance adopted by the Department of Water Resources in California on July 31, 1992. Details the Water Conservation in Landscaping Act of 1990. Describes the Model Water Efficient Landscape Ordinance provisions and discusses local agency and landscape industry responses. Details additional benefits associated with ordinances and concludes that "enactment of the Water Conservation in Landscaping Act of 1990 by the Legislature has resulted in an overall positive response from California cities and countries, and positive impacts on the environment."
