Abstract/Contents:Discusses pesticide use in response to a July 2006 Parks & Rec magazine article. Profiles the author of the original article, Dr. Patrick Moore. Lists "twelve chemical pesticides (which are more truthfully referred to as poisons), [that] are on the initial phase-out list in a...treaty discussion", including aldrin, dieldrin, endrin, chlordane, heptachlor, hexachlorobenzene, mirex, toxaphene, and DDT." Also lists suggestions for action for those against pesticide use, including to "eat organic foods and support local organic farmers."
