Abstract/Contents: | Discusses three turfgrass diseases prevalent in 2006. States that "a disease recently dubbed brown ring patch is spreading across the country at an alarming rate, etiolated tiller syndrome [ETS] has been found througout the southeast and into Texas; and research into pythium root dysfunction slowly is beginning to pay off at North Carolina State University." Describes the symptoms of ETS and states that "low-light conditions aren't always necessary to foster ETS, which has been observed in full sun as well as shaded spots on roughs, fairways, greens, collars, approaches and tees." |
