States that "there is no bigger stage than the Ryder Cup, and all those involved - the PGA [Professional Golfers Association], Nicklaus and Valhalla - want to impress come September 2008." Describes the renovations taking place to get the course ready for the Ryder Cup, including "[creating] more viewing areas for spectators, [improving] the course for members, and to keep pace with advances in golf equipment technology and the skill level of today's PGA Tour players." States that a "crew removed about 900 trees - mostly oak, sycamore and ash - from the more heavily wooded areas to give the course a more park-like setting." Concludes that "PGA officials hope to wow the golf world with a new Valhalla."
