| Abstract/Contents: | States that "in today's commercial world golf clubs are increasingly having to compete with one another and are very conscious of the need to impress." Describes "the single most controversial aspect of greens maintenance every year [as] the timing of sometimes disruptive work such as Verti-Draining, hollow coring, topdressing, etc." Concludes that "maximising [maximizing] revenue is about good greenkeeping, knowing the site and the prevailing weather patterns, being aware of the available remedies to overcome the problems you have, planning and discussing maintenance procedures well in advance and executing the work in a professional manner at the right time with the right equipment." |
