Abstract/Contents:Profiles voles, or meadow mice. Discusses how to identify them and what control methods can be used. Suggests removing or reducing vegetative cover, vole fences, tree guards, and trapping as possible ways to reduce the number of voles. Warns against using poisons or repellents. Concludes with a recommendation to "please rememebr the importance of voles in the ecosystem. Low populations generally do no appreciable damage to human crops and gardens."
