Abstract/Contents:Brief definition of Integraged Pest Management programs (IPM) and some of the tactics used in such systems such as: 1) Regulatory: quarantines, seed certification, pesticide laws. 2) Physical: trapping, screening, hand destruction, harassment. 3) Chemicals: attractants, repellents, sterilants, growth inhibitors, soaps, synthetic pesticides. 4) Cultural: water management, sanitation, certification, thatch control, fertilization, mowing height. 5) Biological: use of resistant varieties, natural enemies, propagation of pest diseases, parasites, release of steril pests.
