States that "it became obvious early on to both Haley and Eric Spurlock, superintendent of the Manakin course at Hermitage, that they weren't going to meet the August 1 [2006] deadline for sprigging 30 acres of bermudagrass on the fairways, so they shifted to Plan B: L-93 bentgrass." Briefly profiles Hermitage Country Club. States that "no sooner had the dust settled on the 2001 Sabot course renovation than the club decided to embark on a total renovation of the Manakin course, the remaining original Ault 18." Discusses how the crew was able to complete both projects, stating that "it all comes down to the team...there's a continual collaboration and constant exchange of ideas, regardless of which course one is assigned to. Everyone pulled more than their weight for this project, and the membership was very patient." |
