| Abstract/Contents: | Presents the results of a Missouri bermudagrass evaluation. Details methods and materials used in the evaluation, stating that "fourteen bermudagrass varieties and experimentals plus a local selection of buffalograss (Buchloe dactyloides) were vegetatively planted in Columbia on August 1, 1983...The area is fertilized with a total of 1 or 2 lb [pound] N [nitrogen]/1000 sq. ft. [square feet] during the summer. Turf is irrigated to prevent severe drought stress." Reports that "all of the Kansas State selections were well established after one year. Other entries, including some of the 'Tif' series, were slower to establish and several plots winterkilled in 1983-84." |
