Abstract/Contents:Discusses the role of turfgrass research in the industry. States that "close to $100 million has gone into golf course management related research...[and] findings have been turned into cultural practices or used to develop new products and tools aimed at improving golf course conditions, decreasing environmental impacts and providing options with respect to the cost management of golf course maintenance." Concludes that "all superintendents are encouraged to use the available resources, support the fundraising activities and make sure those involved in administering the research programs hear about your needs, relative to both research subjects and the use of its results."
