Abstract/Contents:Discusses studies conducted on pre- and post-emergence herbicides during the 1984 growing season. States that "these studies included postemergence herbicide control of crabgrass, using herbicides such as Acclaim, Dowco 356, Quadmec, and [methanearsonate] MSMA." Discusses methods and materials used in the study, stating that "herbicides were applied with a CO2-propelled, small-plot sprayer (liquid) at 30 PST, using 8004 nozzles and 175 gpa or with a Gandy drop-type spreader (granular)." Reports that "Pendimethalin (S-1280 and S-1319) and DCPA (Dacthal) gave excellent control of crabgrass and pnostrate spurge."
