Abstract/Contents:States that "as economic and natural resources become less available, buffalograss and other native grasses are going to be used more and in varied cultural conditions." Discusses a study conducted in 1983 and 1984 to "evaluate the relationship between the rate of herbicides and time of application on potential buffalograss damage." States that "three rates of 2, 4-D and four rates of dicamba were applied separately to plots of buffalograss in the fall [1983] and in the spring [1984]." Lists the six basic components that comprise the turf quality rating system, including uniformity, density, texture, growth habit, smoothness, and color. Provides results from the study along with conclusions. Reports that "most of the treatment significant differences were indicated with the percent turf cover response."
