Abstract/Contents:Discusses how "additional utilization of buffalograss as a turfgrass has increased the need for basic cultural studies." Describes a study conducted to "evaluate fertilizer and mowing treatments under irrigated and non-irrigated conditions." Details methods and materials used in the study and states that "two responses, [turf cover and turf color], of the buffalograss were evaluated periodically during the growing seasons to record its reaction to the fertilizer, mowing, and irrigation treatments." Concludes that "with the cultivar, Texoka (a non-turf type) mowing every 3-4 weeks at 2 1/2" will provide a good turf color and cover."
