Abstract/Contents: | Discusses irrigation design without the use of municipal water. Explains that "contractors, governments, property owners and many others are recognizing that water is precious and are taking aggressive steps to control and conserve." Presents examples of landscapes with irrigation systems that do not utilize municipal water systems. Concludes that "forward-thinking landscape professionals are envisioning and building irrigation systems that function entirely off the water grid. As trade grows in knowledge and experiences, services will become more valuable in [a] conservation-conscious market." |
