| Abstract/Contents: | Discusses fungicide control of Kentucky bluegrass stem rust. Discusses methods used in the experiment, stating that "the turf was irrigated weekly with 1.5 in [inches] of water and mowed at 2 in. [inches] with clippings returned to the plot." States that "a Solo 425 Knapsack sprayer equipped with a 8003 TEEJET flat fan nozzle was used to apply chemicals at a rate of 5.2 gal [gallons] water/1000 sq. ft. [square feet]." Reports "those plots sprayed twice showed less rust than those receiving only a single treatment." Concludes that "XE 779 was the most effective product but was extremely phytotoxic at all rates." |
