| Abstract/Contents: | Describes the National Fine Fescue Evaluation and practices used to maintain it. States that "shortly after this test was seeded a very heavy rain washed tall fescue from surrounding areas into the plots." Provides "the most outstanding cultivars" and the "cultivars with best color." Concludes that "fine fescue is not normally recommended for Nebraska, because of its lack of heat tolerance...however...the hard fescues such as Scaldis and Biljart will perform better under [the] conditions." |
