Abstract/Contents: | Review of studies conducted in 1907-08 by G.E. Adams on the use of iron sulfate as a selective herbicide. Spray tests with iron sulfate were made on a number of weeds in lawns and crop land including: dandelion, yellow duck, sheep sorrel, common and mouse-ear chickweed, purslane, buttercup, shepherd's purse, cinquefoil, poison ivey, wild carrot, plantains, and yarrow. Success in eradication was extremely viable and ranged from complete control to no control. |
