In contrast, the House has passed legislation that offers no provision for citizenship." Details the H-2B process, stating that "an employer that needs or forsees the need for seasonal workers goes to their local or state Department of Labor 120 days before the start-day when workers are needed. The Department of Labor requires employers to ensure that there is no domestic or American worker willing or able to do the job...Once the security screening has been completed, the H-2B petition goes to the State Department, which conducts interviews." |
