Abstract/Contents: | "Relative growth rates were used to measure the sensitivities of various parts of Poa pratensis 'Merion' to osmotically-induced water stress as plants were grown in nutrient solution amended with polyethylene glycol (PEG8000). Growth of tillers was most sensitive to water stress, followed by rhizome, total, root, and leaf growth, respectively. Implications of such differential sensitivities are discussed." |
