Abstract/Contents: | Replies to a question regarding the role of unseasonably dry spring soil conditions as related to turf-damaging insect activity. Suggests that "dry weather will usually slow turfgrass recovery once the pests have been controlled." Also suggests that "in a few instances, dry weather may reduce the likelihood of a pest problem." Concludes that these "trends, while valuable in planning, are not a substitute for a good monitoring program of the turfgrass." |
