Abstract/Contents:Presents the results of a study conducted to determine the effect of Basagran; 2,4-DP; Dicamba; MCCP; and Trimec on broadleaf weeds. Details methods and materials used in the study, stating that "all treatments were applied on 16 May 1989 to a weedy stand of common Kentucky bluegrass." Reports that "no turf phytotoxicity was observed during this study. Bentazon alone provided no control of plantains or dandelion." States that "combinations of bentazon with 2,4-DP...or dicamba...indicated a slight antagonistic effect for control of dandelion." Concludes that "trimec classic, super trimec, MCPP and 2,4-DP gave good control of plantains. Trimec classic and super trimec gave good control of dandelions."
