Abstract/Contents:Discusses management of zoysiagrass. Suggests that "zoysiagrass management may not necessariy require a higher level of maintenance, but the maintenance is different than that of other lawn grasses." Discusses fertilizing, mowing, thatch control, and watering. Profiles different varieties of zoysiagrass, including Cashmere, El Toro, and Emerald. Discusses pest control, including weeds, insects, nematodes, and disease. Concludes that "as homeowners and landscapers discover the merits and aesthetic value of zoysiagrass, its market share will...increase."
